                               RESOLUTION NO. 19672
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF HIXSON PIKE, MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12,
                   1992, FROM 7:30 A.M. TO 11:00 A.M. FOR THE
                   PRESENTATION OF THE "HIXSON PIKE CHRISTMAS
                   PARADE" SPONSORED BY THE HIXSON PIKE CHAMBER
                   OF COMMERCE, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of two (2) northbound traffic lanes nearest the 

       east curb of Hixson Pike between Access Road and Northgate
       Driveway, on Saturday, December 12, 1992 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00
       a.m. for the presentation of the "Hixson Pike Christmas Parade"
       sponsored by the Hixson Pike Chamber of Commerce provided that 
the
       sponsor shall set out traffic cones, flasher barricades, road
       closed and detour signs in accordance with the traffic control
       plan attached hereto and shall provide at all times an access 
lane
       for emergency vehicles.
